Method
Connected, demand and diversified load aggregation over explicit project load rows.
Equations
Pc = Σ(n · Pu)
Pd = Σ(n · Pu · kd)
Pv = Σ(n · Pu · kd · kv)
Symbols and units
| Symbol | Quantity | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Load rows: one row each | ||
| n | Quantity | no. |
| Pu | Load per item | kW |
| kd | Demand factor | – |
| kv | Diversity factor | – |
| Results | ||
| Pc | Total connected load | kW |
| Pd | Total demand load | kW |
| Pv | Total diversified load | kW |
Assumptions and limits
- Demand and diversity factors are explicit row inputs; no defaults.
In practice
- Both factors multiply the load. Where a source gives a diversity factor greater than 1 (the load is divided by it), enter its reciprocal.
Worked example
The input values are the calculator's own verification test, run through the calculator. They show the working; they are not design values.
Inputs
Load rows
| n (no.) | Pu (kW) | kd | kv |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 5 | 0.8 | 0.5 |
Results
| Pc | Total connected load | 10 kW |
| Pd | Total demand load | 8 kW |
| Pv | Total diversified load | 4 kW |
